If you're looking for property or real estate (nekretnine) in Croatia (Hrvatska), you have come to the right place. We bring you a countrywide selection of apartments, villas, houses, old houses to renovate, building land & commercial properties, with full descriptions and photos. Based in Brela on the Makarska Riviera, we are open seven days a week to answer all your queries concerning your property purchase. As well as organising personal visits to properties we will even help you find suitable accommodation in the area while you are there. When you’ve find your dream property we won’t throw you to the lions, we will guide you through the buying process; finding you a lawyer to check title deeds, checking the property’s planning permission status, in fact, answering any queries you may have, so that your purchase is as worry free as possible. Most agents don’t do all this, but we include it in our standard agent’s fee. If your property will be used for vacation rentals we can also help you find a reliable property management service to take care of the renting of your holiday home while you are away.

Newcomers to buying in Croatia are recommended to read our 'Property Faq' section, which we hope you’ll find a useful introduction to the subject. You can learn about the ins and outs of purchasing as a private individual or as a company, the taxes you can expect to pay, lawyers’ fees and estate agents’ commissions, etc.

Samostan on Brac

If ever there was a good time to invest in Croatian real estate it is now. Currently, Croatian real estate is under valued, being about 50% of the value of comparable property in Spain, for example. But with the region’s newfound stability and substantial new investment in infrastructure, such as motorways, hospitals, etc., all the forecasts are that Croatian property is set to rise in value quite considerably.

There are many other reasons why one should consider Croatia for your holiday home. It has a natural beauty quite unsurpassed in Europe with over a 1000 islands in crystal clear turquoise Adriatic waters and a coastline of mountain ranges so majestic it is quite simply breathtaking.

Its natural beauty is enhanced by wonderful architectural jewels such as you'll find in Pula, Zadar, Sibenik, Trogir, Korcula, Split and the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. The architecture in many of these towns rivals that of Rome and Venice!

In fact, Croatia has some of the best preserved examples of Roman and Venetian architecture in Europe. Many of the smaller towns, such as Makarska, Hvar, Bol and Krk, among many, are equally charming and have become well established resorts, although not spoilt as in so many other Mediterranean regions. This is thanks to very strict planning control in Croatia which also limits the heights of buildings.

Croatia is as concerned with protecting its natural heritage as much as its architectural and has 8 National Parks, all overflowing with fauna and flora, forests, gorges, rivers and lakes, not to mention many more Nature Parks. Add to this the multitude of beaches and coves, of small bays and marinas, and the Mediterranean climate, balmy enough for olives, figs, vines, oranges and lemons to grow in abundance, it is easy to see why Croatia is a wonderful place to have a holiday home. Not forgetting one of the biggest attractions to this country, and that is the welcoming and good-hearted sincerity of the hosts. Croatians are also very adept at speaking foreign languages and most speak very good English, German and Italian, so you should at least be able to get by in your mother tongue until you have learnt to speak the Croatian language yourself!
