If you decided to charter a yacht in Croatia this summer we congratulate you on your decision. Come to a land with more than a thousand islands, crystal clear blue sea, mild climate and friendly people.

The winds in the Adriatic Sea are neither unpredictable as in the west Mediterranean nor violent as in the Aegean Sea, but are constant and favorable for recreational sailing. Protected waters in the east of the Adriatic are ideal for family cruising. Thanks to its mild climate you can charter a yacht in Croatia any time of the year although the sailing season generally begins in April and ends in November.

"Croatia Charter" is a small, family owned charter company based in Split. Our main goal is to make our guests wish to come back again so we pay a great attention to maintenance and cleanliness of our yachts.The yachts are maintained during the winter and during the charter period. The base support team performs continuous inspections and solves any technical problem.

The cruising in this area is second to none with most of the large islands of Croatia being off the coast of Middle Dalmatia. There are so many islands that it would take several weeks to visit them all. As well as good sailing there plenty of towns which are well worth a visit. It is very difficult to advise which ones because they are all so beautiful but if one was to choose then certainly Hvar, Korcula and Makarska should not be missed. Further afield there is, of course, Dubrovnik.

Booking direct means cheaper

Since you charter directly from us, and we are the real owners of the yachts, not just a charter company, there is no commission in the price which turns your booking into a very good bargain. We take only 40% of the charter price in advance (most of the yacht charter agencies take 50%) and the rest is payable four weeks prior to commencement of the charter - in this way we have more to risk than the guests.

Wind and weather for yacht charter in Croatia

The wind is usually about 3 to 5 Beaufort and predominantly comes from the north to northwest direction. In the morning there are rather changeable winds, which grow up in the afternoon. The pre and post-season is marked with strong winds from south to southeast.
