Villa "Stari grad" is in the old quarter of the town Omis, which is on the mouth of the river Cetina. Omis lies about half way between Split and Makarska, Split airport being only 25 km away. In the old part of Omis there are a lot historical monuments such as Mirabela castle, which testifies to Omis's long pirate past. Aside from this Omis is blessed with many natural beauties: it has 2 large beaches and the town is situated at the base of a magnificent canyon, through which flows the beautiful emerald Cetina river, famous for its white water rafting, kayaking and canyoning. Other activities include parachuting, tennis, volleyball and diving with also boat trips to the islands of Brac and Hvar. Omis has many bars and restaurants to serve you their Mediterranean specialities.
